Herschel Walker Creates His Own Concept to Try and Explain Air Pollution
Herschel Walker Creates His Own Concept to Try and Explain Air Pollution: After claiming that the “good air” in the U.S. decided to trade places with the “bad air” in China, the far-right contender once again exposed himself as a liability to Republicans.
Herschel Walker’s ‘bad air’ comments
During a weekend campaign rally, Republican Hershel Walker offered his own perspective on air pollution as he pursues the Georgia Senate seat.
The 60-year-old College Football Hall of Famer said when he started talking about climate change, “We, in America, have some of the cleanest air and cleanest water of anyone in the world.
According to CNN, IQAir research from 2021 revealed that air pollution levels in the US were 2 to 3 times higher than recommended by the World Health Organization. Only 222 of the 6,475 cities the business examined had average air quality that was in compliance with WHO standards.
Walker continued his remarks by stating, “Our good air decided to drift over to China’s nasty air because we have no control over the air. China’s dirty air must thus move as it absorbs our good air. It then crosses over to our favorable airspace. After that, we need to clean that up again.”
Walker speaks as the audience may be heard laughing in agreement.
Walker offered his strange theory of pollution as an explanation for why investments in the Green New Deal would be a waste of money. He appeared to claim that the United States would be forced to spend “millions of billions” of dollars on “cleaning our good air,” while China and India would be left to enjoy the benefits. This argument is both xenophobic and untrue.
An inquiry for comment from PEOPLE was not immediately answered by a Walker spokeswoman.
According to a recent article by The Daily Beast, Walker’s own aides have a high level of mistrust for him since they claim that he lies “like he’s breathing” in emails and texts.
According to the story, when his campaign advisers approached him to address allegations that he had secretly fathered a second child in addition to his son Christian, with whom he is known to be close, he informed them that the claims were untrue. However, the assistants asserted that they already had evidence.
The Beast claims that when Walker’s campaign later inquired about if he had any further children he had not previously disclosed, Walker informed them that this was not the case.
The account of Walker lying to his own campaign about his children, according to The Beast, “comes from a closely connected adviser and was validated by communications that the source passed over.”
While three sources contacted for the Beast’s piece independently referred to Walker as a “pathological liar,” the source for the Beast claimed that Walker had “lied so much that we don’t know what’s true.”
Walker’s “lying” has been exposed throughout his campaign, including his claim to have graduated from the University of Georgia, which he only attended for his junior year before leaving to play football professionally in the short-lived United States Football League.
Walker has also claimed in the past to have been “valedictorian of my class” and “in the top 1 percent of my graduating class in college.”
Later, he admitted to lying about having graduated from the university.
He has also expressed reservations about human evolution, speculating as to why apes still exist, and claimed to have a COVID-killing spray before vaccines were widely used (this spray does not exist).
Donald Trump, a former president, has endorsed Walker, who has previously discussed having dissociative identity disorder.
His ex-wife, Cindy, said he had violent outbursts during their marriage and that Walker had put a gun to her head; as CNN previously reported, Walker did not deny this, claiming he suffered blackouts and memory loss and did not recall the outbursts.
