Wife of Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer dies
At the age of 55, Linda Kramer died away on Wednesday, June 22. No official cause of death has been given up to this point.
In her obituary published in the Boston Herald, the musician referred to the deceased as “the love of his life” and noted that the couple had been married for more than 13 years.
It was written that Linda “liked her family and especially her nieces and nephews,” adding that “she loved Joey profoundly and his well-being and happiness were her main priorities.”
According to the obituary, Joey once said that meeting Linda was “the biggest exhilaration you ever had in your life.” It continued, “Friends and family have always commented that Joey and Linda were simply “inseparable.”
Linda celebrated her husband’s 72nd birthday on Twitter the day before she passed away. It comes out that she had the same same feelings for Joey in terms of their mutual love.
She exclaimed, “Happy Birthday to the Love of my LIFE! You are the most amazing man with the largest heart I know. I Love You, my beautiful son.”
On February 27, 1967, Linda was born in Decatur, Georgia; however, when she was four years old, the family decided to go to Houston, Texas.
She later graduated in the class of 1985 from Klein Oak High School in Spring, Texas, a suburb of Houston.
The obituary went on to say that Linda had a “wicked, naughty sense of humor” and “liked to laugh.” Her “unwavering affection of the wonderful gorgeous family dogs, Lucy and Cosmo,” as well as her “insatiable care for the well-being of youngsters everywhere,” were also made clear by this.
She most recently held a position as a contract administrator for Hewitt Packard in the high-tech sector.
The first indication that the Kramers were having severe problems came in March, when Joey announced that he was taking a “temporary leave of absence” from Aerosmith in order to focus on his family. The band was about to resume their Deuces Are Wild engagement at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas at the moment.
In a statement to USA Today in March, the group stated, “He has sadly decided to sit out the band’s concerts in 2022 so he can devote all of his attention to his family during these uncertain times.” They continued, “He and the band look forward to his future performances with Aerosmith.”
When lead vocalist Steven Tyler sought therapy following a relapse in his sobriety following recent surgery, those residency dates were ultimately postponed in May.
There aren’t any memorial services scheduled right now. The family will hold services at a later time.
The survivors of Linda Kramer include her husband, her parents, her three sisters, her step-siblings, her stepson Jesse, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Since its founding in 1970, Aerosmith has included Joey Kramer as a member.
The Walk This Way rockers are regarded as the best-selling American hard rock band of all time, having sold more than 150 million records worldwide, including 85 million in the United States.
