Death On The Nile cast

Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle (Gal Gadot)

Gal Gadot portrays Simon Doyle’s wife Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle (Armie Hammer). She has a significant role in the movie, and Jacqueline De Bellefort is acquainted with the affluent English heiress (Emma Mackey).

Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh)

Branagh reprises his role as Poirot, a Belgian investigator who appears in many of Christie’s earlier books. He primarily becomes entangled in the mystery’s plot by accident, but because he just so happens to be on vacation there, he finds himself drawn into it.

Simon Doyle (Armie Hammer)

Because he doesn’t have much money of his own, Simon, the youngest son of an affluent family, performs a lower paying office job in London. He is at the beginning of the movie engaged to Jacqueline De Bellefort, who requests the help of her friend Linnet Ridgeway (Gal Gadot) in getting Simon a job. When Linnet hires Simon, he falls in love with him and decides to get married to Linnet rather than continuing his engagement to Jacqueline.

Jacqueline De Bellefort (Emma Mackey)

De Bellefort, a main antagonist in the book, was acquainted with Linnet Ridgeway before she decided she wanted to marry Simon, the man De Bellefort loved, after giving him a job at De Bellefort’s request. On their honeymoon, newlyweds Linnet and Simon are followed by De Bellefort.

Louise Bourget (Rose Leslie)

Linnet’s maid and assistant is Louise. She is useful for Linnet’s travel because she is a wealthy woman.

Rosalie Otterbourne (Letitia Wright)

Rosalie travels with Salome, her mother. Rosalie, who is described as being sulky and reclusive but also brilliant and kind-hearted, tries her hardest to keep her mother’s identity a secret.

Salome Otterbourne (Sophie Okonedo)

Rosalie Otterbourne’s mother, Mrs. Otterbourne, is a romance author.

Bouc (Tom Bateman)

Unexpectedly, Bouc is yet another character from Branagh’s 2017 Poirot mystery “Murder on the Orient Express.” While visiting the pyramids, Bouc is the first person Poirot notices (Bouc is, true to his devil-may-care attitude, flying a kite on the great pyramid). Then, Bouc invites him into Linnet Ridgeway-Doyle and her new husband Simon Doyle’s world (Armie Hammer).

Bouc also functions as a sort of surrogate for the audience (as well as a protégé of Poirot), filling us in on the crew of the Karnac, all of whom have the potential to be killers or victims.

Euphemia (Annette Bening)

Euphemia, played by Annette Bening, is Bouc’s mother and a well-known painter whose style is influenced by her journey to Egypt. (She even depicts her son’s shadow next to the pyramids, with a kite circling them.) Her genuine objectives are kept damnably hidden and illusive, as if by a thick layer of oil paint, yet she is soon lured more and further into the mystery on board the Karnak.

Andrew Katchadourian (Ali Fazal)

Ali Fazal portrays Linnet Ridgeway-cousin Doyle’s and attorney, Andrew Katchadourian (Gal Gadot). Andrew’s intentions are instantly questioned, particularly his insistence on signing some cryptic documentation.

Marie Van Schuyle (Jennifer Saunders)

Miss Van Schuyler is a well-to-do American spinster who travels with her nurse and her strict cousin.

Bowers (Dawn French)

Miss Van Schuyler’s nurse is named Bowers. She follows the sneering old lady more out of caution than anything else. Her objectivity in the narrative advances the plot.

Lord Windlesham (Russell Brand)

An aristocratic physician named Windlesham was formerly engaged to Linnet.
