Dynamite by BTS went on to top several global music charts and can arguably be declared as the band’s most popular song on the global stage. Everything about the Dynamite from its beats to the lyrics to the video and, of course, the outfits and style of the BTS members in said video instantly clicked with not only ARMY (what BTS fans call themselves the world over), but music lovers everywhere. However, you’d be shocked to know that one of the group found it extremely difficult to initially get into rhythm for the song, and, in fact, had to make a slight anatomical alteration to get it right. In an earlier interview with Rolling Stone magazine, BTS’ Jungkook had confessed that he had a tough time singing the English version of Dynamite as he faced an uphill task getting the hang of the lyrics. He revealed that he had initially thought that he easily got the hang of Dynamite’s English lyrics and it seemed to him that he was pronouncing the words pretty well. However, during the recording sessions and after further practice, he realised that his pronunciation was actually quite off and he needed to work on it.
According to Jungkook, his tongue just wasn’t loose enough to properly pronounce the English lyrics, and it was only after much practice that he became familiar with the words and his pronunciation ended up sounding more natural. Well, it’s telling that every BTS members puts in such painstaking efforts to cover all bases, which shows why they are where they are today.
