Tropical Storm Laura prompts Florida Keys flood watch

The Florida Keys are below a Coastal Flood Watch on account of Tropical Storm Laura.

“The #FloridaKeys are below a Coastal Flood Watch beginning tonight and ending late Monday evening,” the Nationwide Climate Service Key West tweeted early Sunday. “The passage of TS #Laura to our west will carry sturdy SE breezes throughout the island chain, which can end in 1-2 further toes of saltwater flooding.”

Some roads could also be closed, in keeping with the Nationwide Climate Service, which additionally notes that low-lying property could also be inundated.
